FileMetadata 1.0 control documentation
Installation:
To install FileMetadata run the automatic installation Setup.exe program. If you have no permissions to run executable files on the server or you have some other problems with the automatic installation you can download FileMetadata version without the Setup.exe program. In such a case extract the ZIP archive to any location on the server.
- 1. Copy FileMetadata assembly:
File Element-IT.FileMetadata.dll stored in the \Common folder should be accessible in an application. To make the assembly accessible in an application:
- 1. At the application root folder create a directory called \bin.
- 2. Copy the Element-IT.FileMetadata.dll file to the \bin directory.
- 2. For code behind solutions add reference to file Bin\Element-IT.FileMetadata.dll:
Run Add Reference dialog box: select Add Reference from the Project menu, or right-click the References node in the Solution Explorer.
Then select .NET tab and click Browse button.
Chouse file Element-IT.FileMetadata.dll at the Bin\ folder at the Select Component dialog box.
Click �Ok�
FileMetadata removal:
If FileMetadata was installed by the automatic installer, use
Add/Remove Programs to remove Image Properties with its documentation and samples:
- 1. From the Start menu, select Settings -> Control Panel.
- 2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
- 3. Select Element-IT FileMetadata.
- 4. Click the Change/Remove button to remove the old copy of FileMetadata.
- 5. Manually delete all copies of file Element-IT.FileMetadata.dll within your applications.
Manual Removal:
If FileMetadata was installed manually:
- 1. Delete files which was extracted from the ZIR archive.
- 2. Delete all copies of file Element-IT.FileMetadata.dll within your applications.
